This way you would be able to easily experience the full benefits of the heat transfers printing.
Here are the points you have to consider before ordering your hat transfers:
Heat transfer press for hats
The actual difference in the heat transfers for hats it’s not the heat transfer itself. The trickiest part is having a good heat press machine, which you could find in the nearest by quick internet research. There are a lot of options out there, and of course, you couldn’t say directly which one is particularly good or bad, but you could ask someone for recommendations. We know a couple of companies that are known for their high quality like SEFA, but it’s always good to have a word from a trusted partner, which has higher experience in the long run printings with heat transfers.
The heat press itself has nothing more than the standard heat press machines like temperature, pressure, and time. The main difference is the structure of the upper and lower plate, which are slightly curved for you to be able to set up the hat correctly in the way that it will have the best contact with the hot surface when you press the transfer. In other words – hats are curved and therefore the heat press should be curved too, otherwise, you won’t be able to position it correctly.
The fabric of the hat
The other case you should consider is the fabric of the hat. The most printable and easy applying type of hat is the summer cap. They have a hard surface, which allows you to set them up on the heat press quickly. Also, the fabrics are usually not something you should worry about too much as most of them are considered for branding, especially those bought from a promotional items supplier. Of course, all other types which are 100% cotton with standard relief are suitable too. It will work just great with our CLASSIC OPAQUE TRANSFERS The ones you have to be more attentive are the yarn winter hats. The case here is more in the relief of the fabric than the fabric itself. Standard plastisol heat transfers need to have a denser surface for having enough ground to stick well. When they do, they are no less durable than the other types of prints, but they just need it. However, there are kinds of transfers that stick well on yarn like the DTF transfers. They require less temperature of the heat press with water-based inks.
