Printing on workwear
Work-clothes are made to be protective, strong, and resistant to external forces like the environment of the working area or just simply of the washing process, which in most cases is industrial on high degrees – 95C (203 F). The main goal of the print over it is to be equally stable with the fabric itself. It should not scratch or fall off because of the chemicals in the laundry. Of course, we make it look catchy and wonderful as it should be, but with the High Temp Transfer, you could enjoy the beauty and remarkable resistance at the same time. Let’s see how this is achieved and why it differs from the others
Production
Workwear transfers are mostly printed with double component water-based inks. That’s the main difference with the traditional transfers like the Classiq Opaque Transfer. The water-based transfers are harder to print as they required a more special environment like low moisture to prevent the ink drying on the screen. That’s why the production process is a bit slower than the traditional one
What do we need
Starting a production is simple as the other transfers – artwork file, actual sizes of the prints, and the quantity you would like to have. Pantone colors are also available and could be used to achieve the best color management for your prints. Of course, during our conversation, we will ask for more information if it’s necessary
Difference
The print is double component water-based and it should resist the high-temperature washing, hence it is thicker than the traditional transfer. Which is pretty good for workwear transfer. The opacity and brightness of the colors are great. Another great strength of this kind of transfer is that it allows ironing over it without destroying the print. Workwear transfers are usually printed on transparent PVC paper, which makes the placement over the apparel much easier
The technology we have built for making the print over workwears resistant guarantee that the print would last as long as the garment. You can feel free to contact us for any additional information you would like to get.
